Diversity!

Story.

My New Boss: As part of corporate procedure, you have to go to diversity training.
Me: [Giggle] Oh, except that you're serious, aren't you?
MNB: It's called "Everyone's Different, Just Like You."
Me: No shit. [Long pause]  That sounds like a good time.

I hope that soon my life mirrors "The Office" because that would be amazing.

Remember, everyone is different just like you.

Today's exchange:

Character: Me
Setting: My car after work with a beverage

Me: Mmmm, Coke with Lime... This looks like it's a liquid.
Me again: Hey, I just noticed it has LIME! I should probably shake it up before I open it to mix up all that yummy flavor!
[Blindly happy shaking of carbonated beverage here]
Me: Mmmmm [PSSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHHSHSHSquirt]
Me (Stupid): Damn, me! What was I thinking?!

--5 minute interlude--

Me: This does NOT taste like Coke with Lime.  This tastes like cigarette smoke.

Today's fun story involves work:

Me: --Mind my own business, clean under the table, wipe down the top, get silverware, be boring, etc.--
Nicest Customer Ever:  Jaden, get under that table and pick up all that trash you threw down there.
Me: [Aside to NCE] Oh, don't worry about it Ma'am, I'll be glad to take care of that for you.
NCE: Uh, no. This kid is learning responsibility and accountability.  Plus, I'm a waitress and I HATE when kids make huge messes and their parents leave them.  He's picking up that trash.
Me: I love you.  Marry me?
Husband of NCE: ... Taken?
Me: Damn.

Two additional notes:

1. My room smells like a dentist's office.

2. Stradivari's Genius is highly interesting.

3. I hate speech class.

4. I can't count and shouldn't be in college.

Sometimes, something happens in my life that I just get so excited about I have to share with everyone.  Today's post is not about that sort of thing.

I just discovered some new shampoo in our bathroom.  See, that's the thing about suites with shared bathrooms: you know a lot more than you want to about your roomie/suitemate.  Today's discovery was a little shocking, because I turned on the light and found some new shampoo.

GOLDEN SUN
PLACENTA
&VITAMIN E
CONDITIONING
SHAMPOO
with PANTHENOL

PEARLESCENT
FORMULA

WILL NOT STRIP COLOR TINTED HAIR

If the initial information isn't enough to convince you that PLACENTA is the BEST formula for HAIR then you should hear the back!

Research has shown that Placenta Conditioning Shampoo offers hair refuge from the injurious effects of our environment*.  Its pearlescent formula gently cleanses hair while bathing each strand in a replenishing bath of proteins that will strengthen and fortify hair against the stripping effects of brushing, teasing, and overdrying.  Blended with a "special" placenta enzyme, vitamin E, and panthenol this remarkable shampoo helps repair split ends, restore manageability, and the renews the shine and bounce.

[*It is noted to have the same effect on children in the womb...]

I'm sold; I'll be buying some tomorrow, and won't be at all weirded out by the contents because my hair will SHINE and BOUNCE while still being MANAGEABLE!  YES!
